Originally hailing from northern counties, myself (Becky) and my partner (Graeme) both fell in love with the south west through our love of walking. The draw of the South West Coast Path and some of the amazing tales of completion of this epic route have us hooked!
We have owned the van within the family for about seven years and made it our base to explore all of Devon and Cornwall, until in early 2022, we decided to move to the area permanently. Rather than selling the van we have taken the opportunity to provide access to others wanting to visit this beautiful part of the world. Our base now is near Ottery St. Mary in East Devon, just a 40 minute drive to the caravan, where we reside in an old dairy farmhouse, surrounded by nature at its best (and sometimes worst!).
We are both National Trust members allowing us to explore all of the great properties and estates owned or managed by them throughout the country, many of which are located in the south west. Additionally we are members of the South West Coast Path Association and spend most of our free time completing short stages of this iconic 630 mile trail.
The following is a list of places we have discovered and are worthy of recommendation.
